Organic Soil Mixes
Both Age Old Organics Plant Starting and Plant Growing mixes are blended using OMRI certified ingredients. Available in 20 quart bags for the home gardener and 3 cubic foot bags for the commercial grower.
ORGANIC PLANT STARTING SOIL
Plant Starting Soil is formulated for germinating seeds indoors and out. May also be used for root cuttings and small transplants. Ingredients include vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, bone meal, sulfate of potash, volcanic rock dust, kelp meal, soy flour, dolomite lime, gypsum and an organic wetting agent, yucca extract.
ORGANIC PLANT GROWING SOIL
Plant Growing Soil may be used by itself or mixed with regular soil to support all types of indoor and outdoor plants. Ingredients include perlite, vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, kelp meal, soy flour, dolomite lime, gypsum and an organic wetting agent, yucca extract.
For large decorative pots and planters, mix 1 growing soil with 4 parts of native soil with three parts Age Old Organic Growing Mix. This will add weight to the pot, and will provide better water holding capacity.
For heavy clay soils in the garden, top dress soil with starter mix and work into the top 6 inches of soil.
